Ahlcon International School

Ahlcon International School was established by the Shanti Devi Progressive Educational Society in 2001 as a progressive and liberal school. The school aims to provide an excellent learning environment and hence ranks highly in surveys of educational institutions. The school motto is "Global Perspective, Indian Values". At last count the school had about 2600 students and 200 staff members.

Ahlcon International School occupies a 2 acre plot. The built up area of the school is 8094 sq. mtrs. whereas the playgrounds measure 2023 sq. mtrs. The school is well equipped and has three computer labs and a German lab in addition to the usual science labs. The facilities include an auditorium; conference room; dance rooms and multiple music and fine arts rooms. The two libraries hold about 25,000 titles in all.

On the sports front the school has a swimming pool and facilities for table tennis, basketball, squash, rifle shooting, roller skating and yoga.

The admissions made in 2023-2024 were to the Pre- School and Pre-Primary Class. Children aged between 3 and 4 years as on 31/03/2023 were eligible for admission to Pre-School Class. Children aged between 4 and 5 years as on 31/03/2023 were eligible for admission to Pre-Primary Class. The total number of seats available in Pre-School was 180 with the breakup being- General- 99 and Discretionary/ EWS/ DG- 81. The total number of seats in Pre-Primary was 8 with the breakup being General- 6 and Discretionary/ EWS- 2.

The school uses a point-based system for admissions. The criteria and their weightages are as below

Neighborhood	45 points. Candidates are awarded between 45 and 25 points depending on distance from the school. These points are awarded on the basis of a table published with the application form.
Sibling	25 points. Applicants are given 25 points if a real brother or sister is already studying in the school.
Staff Ward	15 points. Wards of staff are given 15 points.
Alumni	10 points. The candidate is given 10 points if either parent is an alumnus of the school.
Single Parent/ First Child/ Girl Child	05 points. The candidate is given 05 points if he/ she is either the ward of a single parent OR if the candidate is a girl child/ first child.
Total	100 points.

The school requires that successful applicants produce the following documents.

Address Proof	Paid Electricity Bill/ Paid Telephone Bill/ Voter ID Card/ Ration Card/ Aadhar Card/ Passport/ Registered Lease Dead.
Date of Birth Proof	Birth Certificate.
Sibling Proof	I card of sibling.
Alumni	Class XII Certificate issued by school.
First Child/ Girl Child	Declaration from parents.
Single Parent	Judicial Order/ Death Certificate.

The cutoff was in 2023-2024 was 50 points for both Pre-School and Pre-Primary.

The school topper in 2022-2023 scored 97.6%. 56 students scored more than 90%.
