Co- educational, CBSE affiliated, points based admission

About the School
The Delhi Public School Mathura Road was the first school set up by what is now called the DPS Society. For decades the term DPS was synonymous with DPS Mathura Road. The school had its beginnings as an institution called the Church High School set up in the President's Estate in 1941. It was rechristened as the Naveen Bharat School when it moved to North Avenue in 1947. The school moved to its current location in 1949 and initially functioned out of tents. Dr. Radhakrishnan, then Vice- President of India, laid the foundation stone of the school building in 1956. The school now occupies a lush fifteen-acre complex and counts a long list of luminaries as its alumni.
