The G.D. Goenka Public School (GDGPS) was established in 1994 by the G.D. Goenka Education Society. The school is one of many in the G.D. Goenka fold- at last count the group had established more than twenty five schools and several more were in the pipeline. The school is CBSE affiliated and aims to provide all round education in a state of the art environment.

The G.D. Goenka Public School is located on a lush 3.82 acre plot in Vasant Kunj. The school building is completely air- conditioned and has 100% power and water backup through generators. The school facilities include science and computer labs; an art studio; a computerized library with Internet access; an auditorium; a fitness center with the latest gym equipment and a 6 bed medical center staffed with a qualified doctor.

The school playgrounds measure 9700 sq meters and have facilities for an array of sports such as cricket, volleyball, basketball and soccer. The school has its own swimming pool.

The admissions made in 2023-2024 were to the Nursery i.e. Pre- School Class. The minimum age was three years as on 31^st March 2023. The total number of seats available was 150 and the distribution of seats was as follows- General Category- 83; EWS- 37; Management Quota- 30.

The school uses a points-based system for admissions. The criteria used along with the points for each criterion are shown below

Neighborhood	40 points. Students residing within 10 km of the school get 40 points.
Sibling	20 points. Applicants are given 20 points if a real brother or sister is already studying in the school.
Alumni	20 points. The candidate is given 20 points if either parent is an alumnus of the school.
Girl Child/ First Born	20 points. Female or first born candidates get 20 points.
Total	100 points.

Applicants are required to produce the following documents.

Birth Certificate issued by the Municipal Corporation
Proof of residential address- Any two of the following- Passport/ Electricity Bill/ MTNL Phone Bill/ Electoral Card/ Aadhar Card
For sibling cases- Student ID card of sibling studying in the school
For alumni- Class XII certificate/ Transfer Certificate
First born- Affidavit

The school published the scores of all applicants. The cutoff score was 60 points.

The top scoring students in each category in 2022- 2023 were as follows- Science- 98.4%; Commerce- 97.2% and Humanities- 95.2%.
