About the School
The Gyan Bharati School was established by the Gyan Bharati Trust in September 1980. The school is located in a 7.5 acre campus in Saket and boasts of a total enrollment of about 2000. The stated aim of the school is to provide education that is formative and not merely informative. Another aim of the school is to develop student's personalities with values rooted in India's spiritual past.

Facilities
The Gyan Bharati campus is WiFi enabled and boasts of three Teachers Resource Centers with Internet access. The school has well equipped laboratories for physics/ chemistry/ biology/ mathematics/ computer science/ junior science and dedicated play and activity rooms for art, craft, clay modeling, music and paper recycling. There are separate libraries for the primary and senior wings and two covered auditoria. The school has 100% power and water backup as well as a functioning water harvesting system. Medical facilities are available in the sick bay.

On the sports front the school has floodlit playgrounds for cricket, basketball, football, volleyball, badminton and table tennis.

Age Criteria and Seats in 2023-2024
The admissions made in 2023-2024 were to the Nursery i.e. Pre- School Class. The school had a total availability of 200 seats with 110 seats available for the General Category, 40 seats for the Management Quota (20%) and 50 seats for the EWS quota (25%). The minimum age was three years as on 31st March 2023.

Admission Criteria
The school uses a point-based system for admissions. The criteria used along with the points for each criterion are shown below

Neighborhood 40 points.

Students residing within 10 km get 40 points, all others get 0 points.
Sibling 10 points.

Applicants are given 10 points if a real brother or sister is already studying in the school. These points are awarded only for the first sibling.
Alumni 10 points.

The candidate is given 10 points if either parent is an alumnus of the school(Class XII only).
First Born 25 points.

First Born applicants are awarded 25 points.
Girl Child 15 points.

Female candidates are awarded 15 points.
Total 100 points.


Documents Required
The school requires that successful applicants produce the following documents.
  • Birth Certificate issued by the Municipal Corporation
  • Proof of residential address- one of passport/ electricity Bill/ MTNL Phone bill/ electoral card/ ration card/ domicile certificate/ Aadhar card/ Water Bill.
  • For sibling cases- admission number and fee bill of sibling issued by school
  • For alumni- admission number, year of admission/ passing, CBSE roll number for Class XII exam.

Cutoffs in 2023-2024
The first list published by the school had the names of 110 candidates. Out of these 4 candidates had scored 90 points. The remaining 106 candidates had scored 80 points and were selected by a draw of lots.

Class XII Results
The top scoring students in each category in 2022- 2023 were as follows- Science- 98.4%; Commerce- 96.4%; Humanities- 96.6%. 34% of the students appearing scored more than 90% in the aggregate. The school average was 84.6%.
