About the School
Ramjas School RK Puram is one of the 16 primary and secondary schools run by the Ramjas Foundation. The school was started in 1974 and now has more than 2000 students taught by a hundred teachers. The school has a non- commercial outlook and bases it's teaching on the premise that the children studying in the school today will be adults in a very different world.

Ramjas School has large and well equipped laboratories for biology/ chemistry/ physics and mathematics. It has two computer labs equipped with a large number of desktops with broadband Internet connections. The library is based on the information super- highway concept and provides both Internet access and a CD- ROM collection in addition to books.

On the sports front the school provides facilities for all field games, yoga, karate and tae- kwon- do. It has a well equipped gymnasium and provides training in gymnastics. Students are also trained in rock climbing, trekking, mountaineering and para- gliding.

The school encourages participation in art, music, dance and dramatics and provides facilities for all these activities.

Age Criteria and Seats in 2017-2018
The school admitted students to the Pre- School (Nursery) class in 2017- 2018. The minimum age for eligibility was 3 years as on 31/03/2017. The total number of seats available was 135. The breakup of seats was as follows- EWS- 34 (25%); Management quota- 27 (20%); General Category- 74 (55%).

Admission Criteria
The school uses a point-based system for admissions. The criteria and their weightages are as below

Neighborhood 50 points.

Students residing within 15 km get 50 points while those residing beyond 15 km get 40 points.
Sibling 10 points.

Applicants are given 10 points if a real brother or sister is already studying in the school.
Alumni 10 points.

The candidate is given 10 points if either parent is an alumnus of the school.
Employee of Ramjas School/ Foundation 10 points.

Wards of employees of the school or the Ramjas Foundation are given 10 points.
First Born Child 10 points.

First born children get 10 points.
Girl Child 10 points.

Female candidates get 10 points.
Total 100 points.

Documents Required
The school requires that applicants produce the following documents.

  • Proof of residence- Voter I- Card/ Ration Card/ Electricity Bill/ Aadhar Card/ Passport
