About the School
The Ryan International School Mayur Vihar was started in 1991 and has carved out a name for itself. The school achieved international stature by winning the ISA (International School Award) 2009- 2012. The basic philosophy of the school is to inculcate what it calls KASSM in its students- Knowledge, Attitude, Social Skills, Skills for Life and Moral Skills.

Facilities
Ryan International Mayur Vihar has well equipped computer and science labs; an 850 sq. ft. library with 18000 titles and music and dance rooms. The school has facilities both for indoor games as well as outdoor sports.

Age Criteria and Seats in 2017-2018
Admissions in 2017- 2018 were made to the Pre- School class. The minimum age for eligibility was 3 years as on 31/03/2017. The total seats available were 210, out of which 158 seats were reserved for Christian Minority and General category students, 42 for the Management quota and 10 for the Girl Child quota.

Admission Criteria
The school uses a point-based system for admissions. The criteria and their weightages are as below

Religious Minority (recognized Christians) 50 points.

Christian applicants are awarded 50 points.
Neighborhood 40 points.

Students residing within 18 km get 40 points, those residing between 18 km and 20 km get 30 points and those residing between 20 km and 25 km get 20 points.
Sibling 5 points.

Applicants are given 5 points if a real brother or sister is already studying in the school.
Alumni 5 points.

The candidate is given 5 points if either parent is an alumnus of the school.
Total 100 points.


Documents Required
The school requires that applicants produce the following documents.
  • Birth Certificate of the child
  • For Christian Applicants- Baptism Certificate and letter from the Parish Priest.
  • For alumni- Photocopy of the Class XII leaving certificate.
  • For siblings- photocopy of the latest fee receipt.

Cutoffs in 2017-2018
Candidates who scored between 45 and 90 points were selected directly. The remaining seats were filled by a draw of lots amongst candidates who scored 40 points.
